Article VII, Sections 4 and 5 from the APS Bylaws
The President-Elect or Vice President, in absence of the President, shall perform the duties of the President. The President-Elect shall assume the office of President on the last day of the American Psychiatric Association Annual Meeting in or about one year following his or her election as President-Elect. The President-Elect shall assist the President by acting as overall coordinator of all committee functions.
The Councilor-At-Large is a voting member of the Executive Council. It is a two year appointment designed to be an introduction to leadership in the Arkansas Psychiatric Society in general, and the activities of the Executive Council specifically.
