We Need Your Advocacy Help

We need your help to fight legislation allowing psychologists to prescribe medication. APS leadership is seeking volunteers who are willing to dedicate some of their time to assist us in this critical effort. Specifically, we are looking for members who can:

  • Contact legislators to provide insights and information about the specialized training and qualifications of psychiatrists.

  • Collaborate with APS leadership to brainstorm strategies for effectively opposing this legislation.

  • Share personal experiences or data that highlight the importance of maintaining current prescribing practices to ensure patient safety.

If you are interested in volunteering or have any questions, please reach out to Mary Ann Mansfield at mamansfield@arkmed.org or by calling 501-224-8967.  Your involvement, whether large or small, can make a meaningful difference in our advocacy efforts.

Sincerely,

David Draney, DO, President
